Great Hills Lodge is located on the edge of the small and friendly village of Week St Mary in north Cornwall, just a ten-minute drive from the coast at Bude. It’s the perfect base for a quiet countryside retreat, surfers chasing the waves, walkers wanting a great base for the South West Coast Path, families wanting to visit Cornwall’s attractions, dog lovers or for those just looking to escape day to day life and unwind.






Secluded and peaceful — but close to the best of Cornwall
The cottage can be found at the end of a private lane with its own driveway to the house, great for guests wanting privacy, seclusion and the peace of mind that children and animals will be safe. The lane leads in one direction to the village with its community shop and in the other direction to woodlands for tranquil walks. We are surrounded by beautiful Cornish countryside — just what you need for a quiet night’s sleep. On clear nights the star gazing opportunities are endless as there is no light pollution
For trips out we are ideally located for visiting attractions and seeing the best of Cornwall.
A lawn and courtyard made for relaxing
The Lodge offers private outside space to the rear and to the front. The front garden has a raised lawn with a picnic bench and barbecue, a peaceful spot for al-fresco dining on a warm day. Guests also have a rotary clothes dryer, which is ideal for drying beach towels after a day at the beach. Our secure former stable is just the place to hang up wetsuits or to store surfboards, bikes and roof boxes.
Through the sitting room at the rear of the property guests have a fully enclosed secluded rear garden with chairs, table and a sun umbrella. This area is a sun trap, with amazing views for, the perfect place to enjoy breakfast and plan out your day,








Comfortable and cosy, ideal for couples and families
The Lodge sleeps four and an infant in very comfortable and peaceful surroundings. The main bedroom on the ground floor has a king size bed whilst the second bedroom is found on the first floor and has twin beds, this room has limited headroom to the sides due to the sloping ceilings.
The spacious living room is a great space to relax with free WiFi and a Smart TV with Netflix to keep the kids entertained. If you enjoy wildlife you will love the many visitors to the bird feeders just outside the window
The kitchen is well equipped with everything you’ll need for your stay and we supply condiments, initial supplies of tea and coffee as well as a complimentary cream tea on your arrival.
A stress-free place to stay for those with limited mobility
For guests who have limited mobility, Great Hills Lodge provides a stress-free holiday; all accommodation is on the ground floor, except the second bedroom. The driveway leads right up to the house, making it easy to get to and from the car, while the downstairs shower room has a step-in shower with a safety grab rail and shower seat. There’re also handrails on the two steps out to the rear courtyard.

We consider dogs to be part of the family here at Great Hills Lodge, so we love to welcome them along with you during your stay! We’re so lucky to have so many dog-friendly places for our guests to visit nearby; more and more places are welcoming dogs than ever before, so with lots of choice and a property well suited for well-behaved dogs, we can’t wait to see you!
